Ashburn Georgia is the county seat of Turner County. Interstate 75 comes through the center of Turner County Georgia, providing easy access to all towns in the county, especially Ashburn and Sycamore Georgia. Turner County has two industrial parks. It is also the home of the Turner County High School Rebels, and the annual Fire Ant Festival that takes place each spring.
Turner County is comprised of the cities of Sycamore, Rebecca, and Ashburn. As of 2010, the population was 8930. From 2000 to 2010, the Turner County population growth percentage was -6.0% (or from 9,504 people to 8,930 people). The county has a total area of 290 square miles, of which 286 square miles is land and 4 square miles is water.
